Fire engulfs forest areas along LoC | KNO

Nowshera, May 26 (KNO): A fire broke-out in the forests along Line of Control (LoC) in Baba Khori and Kalal areas of Nowshehra Sub Divisions, officials said on Tuesday. Officials told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO), that several acres of forest land have been engulfed by devastating fire along Line of Control while as the security agencies have stepped up their vigil in the area. The locals from the area said that on Wednesday evening, fire broke out along Line of Control in Baba Khori and Kalal areas of Nowshera sub division. They added that panic has gripped among the villagers as according to them, there is possibility of explosions of land mines due to the fire. A police officer said that security agencies have heightened their vigil in the area to thwart any nefarious design from across under the garb of forest fire and smoke –(KNO)
